This work reflects a personal intrigue with present-day American youth culture. It follows and is in reference to the historical practice of genre painting and evidence of my continued fascination with painting the human figure. It is my hope that the viewer walk away contemplating today’s youth and the calamity of growing up in a global and digital age.
